Apa siy 4G itu?

4G itu punyak beberapa definisi, tergantung ama
sapa kita ngomong. Secara sederhananya (coro bodone…kalo orang jawa bilang)
4G itu generasi wireless network yang bakalan nggantiin jaringan 3G ntar kalo
kita uda pada tua. Kita juga bisa bilang kalo 4G ini inisiatip dari R&D
laboratorium akademisi buat bergerak mengatasi keterbatasan dan kekurangan 3G
yang sekarang ini lagi gencar-gencarnya diterapin di Indonesia. Dan juga.. 3G ini ternyata sampai sekarang
blum bisa memberikan performa kek yang diharepin. Palagi ditambah kemarin
masalah para operator yang nerapin teknologi CDMA amerika yang kudu ngalah n’
pindah ke pita lapan ratus…. beu pusingg… Well., sebenernya sejak taon 2002
4G udah mulai dibahas n’ di diskusiin sebagai kereangka kerja konseptual
(ciye…ciye… bahasanyah…) buat menuhin kebutuhan jaringan wireless
berkecepatan tinggi universal yang bisa berinteraksi dengan jaringan bekbon
kabel secara seamlessly ß baca simlesli. 4G juga ngewakilin harapan
n; ide dari para kutu riset motorola, qualcoomm, Nokia, ericsson, sun, HP, NTT
DoCoMo n’ vendor inprasetruktur laennya yang kudu nanggepin kebutuhan transfer
data Multimedia, Aplikasi Video, MMS kalo emang 3G blum bisa menuhin harepan.

Lalu, apa siy yang jadi motivasi riset 4G? Padahal (2002) 3G aj juga blum di bangun??

Di bawah ini ada beberapa alesan, kenapa kok 4G udah diteliti padahal 3G aj lom juga
di bangun:

1. Kinerja
        3G dipandang nggak bakal bisa menuhin kebutuhan buat transfer data
        kecepatan tinggi untuk aplikasi dengan performens tinggi kek Multimedia,
        full-motioin Video, telekonferens. So… kite ni… perlu punyak sebuah
        teknologi jaringan yang bisa ngasiy kapasitas lebih gedhe daripada 3G
        berlipat-lipat kali kalok bisa.
2. 3G
        itu punyak beberapa standar (WCDMA, CDMA2000, ma TDS-CDMA), bikin bingung
        soalnya kalok kita pengin mobilitas global n’ portabilitas layanan, antar
        jaringan yang beda standar itu kudu bisa interoperet satu ma yang laen.
3. 3G tu
        dikembangkan dari konsep “wide area”. Padahal… kita juga ngebutuhin yang
        namanya ”small area” kek PAN ma LAN (jangan lupa depannya ada ”W” ßwirelessnyah…). Jadi kita butuh yang
        namanya hybrid network yang bisa mengadopsi konsep wireless LAN (hot
        sepot) ma konsep cell ato bes stesien yang dikenal pada wide area network
        disain.
4. hehehe…
        yang paling penting niy… Bandwidth yang lebi gedhe lah!!
5. Para
        periset udah nemuin skema modulasi yang dengan efisiensi spektral lebih
        efisien, tetapi nda bisa diterapkan pada teknologi 3G sekarang ini soalnya
        dasar teknologinya uda beda banget.
6. Kita butuh
        jaringan paket yang ngegunain IP end to end, jadi semua entitas jaringan
        kudu bisa dialamatin pakek IP. Uda nda jamannya pakek nomer2an lagih…
        Oiya jangan lupa…jaringan paket full IP ini punya kemampuan buat
        transfer voice maupun data secara bersama-sama. Inget… kite uda punya
        VoIP J

Nah abis ini mari kita cerita tentang hal2 yang kudu dipersiapin buat
nerapin 4G ini…

Jadi, apa aja yang perlu dipersiapin buat ngebangun 4G ini?

Jawabannya sederhana aj.. BANYAK.. heu heu heu …

Ini beberapa yang kepikir:

1. Perlu di putuskan Alokasi spektrum yang
bakalan dipakek buat teknologi ini.

2. Trus kalo udah di putuskan, ya selanjutnya
kudu distandarisasi. Pada tau kan gunanya standarisasi… yak btoll!! Biar
standar… kkk (ya kalo standar…ntar interoperabilitas jaringan akan lebih
baik walaupun berasal dari vendor yng berbeda…)

3. Nah… ini buat negara2 yang pengin
nerapin 4G niy… jangan lupa kosongin tu slot frekeunsi buat 4G biar nda
kalang kabut kek kemarin…waktu nerapin 3G…

4. Trus yang ini buat vendor: Inovasi teknologi, pengembangan komponen
jaringan, pemrosesan sinyal, peningkatan kemampuan switching, dan yang paling
penting kerjasama antar vendor… biar 4G ini bisa menjadi sistem yang
mendekati sempurna…. halah…

Saia kira.. pengalaman dalam pengembangan 3G tentunya ada yang enak dan ada
jugak yang nda enak… baik dari segi bisnis maupun teknologi, semua itu kalok
diinget-inget akan sangat berguna dalam pengembangan teknologi 4G ini. Well…
dibawah ini ada beberapa issue yang mungkin bisa di analisa dan dipecahkan oleh
para professional industri telekomunikasi.

• Masalah
       harga… kudu dipikirin bener2.. soalnya User nda bakalan mau kalo
       harganya lebih mahal berlipat-lipat dari harga teknologi eksisting. Ya
       bole lah.. lebi mahal dari yang eksisting.. tapi besar selisih harganya..
       perlu diteliti lebi lanjut.
• Koordinasi
       yang lebih intens antara Regulator spekctrum dari seluruh dunia. Badan
       regulasi frekuensi kudu dilibatin buat ngarahin para periset dengan cara
       memberi spectrum frekuensi mana yang bisa digunain untuk 4G. FCC (Amerika)
       kudu bekerjasama ama ITU
• Riset
       akademik kudu lebih digiatkan lagi… Universitas2 harus melakukan usaha
       yang lebih giat lagi dalam memecahkan masalah2 fundamental pada komunikasi
       radio (khususnya pada multiband radio dan wideband radio, smart antenna,
       dan signal processing)
• Standarisasi
       Teknologi Jaringan Wireless, yaitu pada teknik modulasi, skema switching
       dan roaming adalah suatu keharusan dalam 4G.
• A voice independent Business Justification Thinking. ß
       pada tau kan maksudna..
• Integrasi
       antara topologi jaringan yang berbeda. Perencana jaringan harus mendasari
       disain mereka pada konsep jaringan hybrid yang terintegrasi menjadi wide
       area networks, wireless LANS(IEEE 802.11a, IEEE 802.11b, IEEE 802.11g,
       IEEE 802.15 dan 802.16, bluethooth dengan backbone internet berbasis
       optik). Broadband wireless networks harus menjadi bagian dari arsitektur
       jaringan terintegrasi ini.
• Non-disruptive
       Implementation, 4G nantinya diharapkan dapat memungkinkan migrasi secara
       mulus dari 3G ke 4G.

Once upon a time, there’s an old carpenter. Because his physical condition and healthy, he decide to retired from his job in a construction company. Afterwards, he convey his wish to the company owner. Of course, because he won’t work again, he will lose his monthly wage to feed his family. But his decision is already final. He feels so tired, and need to rest to enjoy his day with his family.

The company owner feels sad, because this carpenter is one of the best carpenters in the company. Then the company owner ask the carpenter to build a house for him.

The carpenter approve this personal wish, but actually he want to quick immediately from his job. His heart isn’t thoroughly focused and work idly for this project. He use worse wooden quality to build this house.

Finally, the house is finished. But the result isn’t comparable with his capability. Unfortunately, his career is ended with the worst job that he ever made.

When the company owner come to see the house, he gives a key to the carpenter and says:
"This is your new house…a little gift from us.. from the company.."

The carpenter is shocked, he’s so shame and regret. If he knew that he built a house for his own home, ofcourse he would do his best. Now, he have to stay in a worst house that he built with his own hand.

Sometimes, the narratiion above often happen in our life. A lot of us, build our live with less spirit or even least. We choose to endeavour disrectionary, and not to do our best even in our important part of life. In the end of journey, we are shocked when we see what we have done and find ourself live in a life that we’ve built with our own hand. If we realized this matter earlier, maybe we will have a different story… a better life.

Imagine that we are the carpenter, the house that we build, each day we hit the hammer, set the board, build the walls and roof… Lets finish our tasks as best as we can. Assume that every task is our last work, and we have to do our best to finish it.

Despite we only have a day to life, then… in that single day we deserve to live with greatness and dignity.

So… what are we waiting for? our tomorrow life is the result of effrontery and choice that we make this day. THe owner of the Judgement day is God, not us.. so make sure that we are also included in His conquest front.

A hard week…
there are 27 sites that we must finished in this month..so I can "mudik" to semarang… at lebaran…

This week is my final decision about my own future. To choose one from 3 choice, some how it’s very difficult. Hmm… may 4JJI Gives the right decision for me.

somehow the sentence above are rounding in my head now…
